Our journey began in 1982 when Mr. Kurian Jose Sr. founded Marine Hydrocolloids to produce high-quality food-grade Agar Agar. Guided by innovation, we soon developed specialised grades such as Bacteriological, Pharmaceutical and Plant Tissue Culture Agar Agar, followed by Wondergel, our signature Spreadable Agar, and a full range of Carrageenan products.

As our expertise grew, so did our portfolio — expanding into Plant Gel (Gellan Gum), Chitin Chitosan, Sodium Alginate, Xanthan Gum, Guar Gum and more, supported by modern production facilities exceeding 500 MT per annum. Today, Marine Hydrocolloids is a market leader in India and a trusted exporter to South America, Europe, CIS, Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, USA and Australia.
